Calling at Grassington, we move on through Upper Wharfedale to the lovely Aysgarth Falls before heading for the market town of Hawes with its famous Wensleydale Creamery and Cheesemaking factory.Returning home through the soft stone villages of Ribblesdale.

We go directly to the Rheged Centre a unique underhill complex displaying Cumbrian arts, crafts, and local produce. Onto nearby Ullswater Lake where you have the option to travel the length of this most beautiful lake aboard one of the lakes steamers. At Glenridding we collect those that opted for the cruise and travel on to Keswick, a bustling market town. We then begin our move south, calling at Grasmere village where you can relax in its leafy environs for a while before making our way home.

Travelling via Grange over Sands where we have a short break, before moving on to Cartmel with its famous Priory and even more famous 'sticky toffee' pudding shop. On to Haverthwaite where you can take the option of a steam train ride to Lakeside thenm catch the boat to Bowness. There you can relax beside the lake, browse the town with its many shops,cafes and restaurants. We return home from Bowness in the late afternoon.

We go across the rolling moorlands of Denbighshire on to Betws y coed where we stop to allow time to explore. At noon we travel up the scenic Conwy valley to Llandudno with its mild climate under the Great Orme headland. For the children the pier with its leisure facilities, punch and judy, small boat trips, cable car etc. The less boiserous can relax on the promenade or enjoy browsing through the shops on the main parade. A relaxing and enjoyable day for all.

We travel via Oswestry and Welshpool on the Welsh Marches Borders on to historic Powys Castle, former home of Clive of India, set in beautiful gardens where for a modest charge you can stroll and even enjoy a welsh tea in the trusts cafe. In the early afternoon we return via Llangollen with its beautiful river setting and steam railway and horse drawn canal boats, cafes and shops. We return home via the dramatic Horseshoe Pass. A varied and rewarding day out.

A journey through the undulating green pastures and hill of Derbyshire. Our first stop is at the plague village of Eyam , then onto Bakewell home of the famous pudding and finally into Buxton a spa town of renown and antique shops before wending our weary way home.
